Every man has the desire to build, to work, to do something important with his life. It's part of who God created men to be – cultivators of creation. A quadrivocational view of life mission – that each man has duties to develop resources, build a family legacy, disciple nations, and shepherd God's people – destroys the false dichotomy between "work" and "ministry," between "secular business" and "fulltime Christian service," which frustrates so many young men desiring to live for Christ. A biblical view of life mission enables a man to live a full-orbed life in which service to Christ has many manifestations, which can be grouped into four helpful areas.
